Curating the 2010 Olympic Pavilion for Arts and Culture was an intense and rewarding process. Lynn Feasey shaped an immersive, art experience, which became a favourite interactive exhibition of the 2010 games welcoming over 230,000 visitors. Seeing her hard work come to life, and the difference it made for everyone involved, assured Lynn that she was on the right path.
“I knew that art would draw visitors into the story of the north, and that artists needed to be a part of it,” recalls Lynn. “Everything I do centres around the generative value of art, for artists and for society. I knew then I had found my purpose within the arts and that growing Points North Creative was exactly what I needed to be doing.”
Points North Creative offers events and exhibitions, arts consulting and personalized artist development. Leveraging 25 years of experience working directly with artists and creatives, she has established more responsive and meaningful forms of support for both artists and communities, offering interviews, workshops and direct engagement opportunities.
With continued success and satisfied clients, Lynn felt the business was ready to grow, but wasn’t sure of the next steps. Reaching out to Export Navigator, she was able to seek an Export Advisor’s opinion on reaching new markets. Since working with Export Navigator, Points North Creative has begun exporting services further and expanded offerings to support even more artists’ journeys.
A conversation worth having
There has been a steady demand for her services and for the many ways she could support artists’ growth. Working solo had its limitations, and external support was needed to expand. Recalling a previous conversation with Export Advisor, Shannan Roberts, Lynn decided to reach out and see what could be possible.
“I work a lot in isolation, as many creatives do. Being self-employed and not attached to an organization often makes it difficult to get out there and network,” shares Lynn. “I reached out to Shannan to see how Export Navigator could support my business, and after our first discussion my eyes were opened to the possibilities ahead of me.”
Shannan provided grounded guidance and empowered Lynn, connecting her with programs and opportunities to advance Points North. First up was the Indigenous Artisans Accelerator, an eight-week business and marketing bootcamp that gave Lynn the push she needed to expand further and offer new services.

Taking bold strokes
With the Indigenous Artisans Accelerator complete, Lynn and Shannan continued working together to shape a business plan for the expansion of Points North Creative across Canada. As a solo practitioner, Lynn recognized the practical limits of constant travel and began exploring ways to extend her reach more sustainably.
“I kept thinking about how to grow beyond what I can offer alone,” shares Lynn. “When I outlined my vision to create an online artist community, Shannan’s perspective helped me clarify how it could take shape in a practical way.”
With Shannan’s guidance, Lynn has launched ‘The Artists Well’. Grounded in decades of direct work with artists and communities, this year-round online community supports artists and the organizations that serve them together, as one connected effort.
Once Points North Creative is further established nationally, the goal will be to move global. Lynn is confident in the next steps in the expansion plan and knows she can count on Shannan for guidance along the way.
Framing the future
For Lynn, working with Export Navigator was a clear win, offering perspective and structure at a pivotal stage.
“I would encourage anyone looking to grow, to trust the experience and insight of their Export Advisor,” says Lynn. “Having the right guidance makes a real difference when you’re working to translate vision into tangible outcomes.”
